Editorial Review:
Abounding with Boyntons lovably goofy cows and hippos, chicks, pigs, and aardvarks, its family organization with a great big smile. Moms covers sixteen months, starting in September. Each months ingenious, oversized grid is laid out on a vertical, with five columns across the top (one for each family member) and the days of the month reading down the left side. One glance is all it takes to see exactly who is doing what, and when. Its the ultimate marriage of practicality and, well, cute. Includes a magnetic phone list for the fridge and 500 stickers! . Size Closed: 12" w x 12" h. Size Opened: 12" w x 24" h.

Customer Rating: Summary: Love it, however..... Comment: I buy this calendar for my daughter every year and she loves it to keep track of appointments and sports schedules for her three daughters. However, the 2009 calendar has two months where the ink is smeared all down the pages and makes reading the dates difficult. This is the first time I have been disappointed with anything I have purchased from Amazon. Customer Rating: Summary: Vertical format and VERY large--now I use Mom's Plan-it instead Comment: I love Boynton's books, and used to get this calendar. (We have 3 kids.) I really liked the idea of it, but the superlarge size and the vertical format just always felt a little awkward. Also, on some pages the cartoons cover up some of the day/date information.
About two years ago I switched to the Mom's Plan-it series. You can't tell from the Amazon photos, but that one has a standard horizontal calendar format (each row is a week), and is a smaller size, so it actually fits on our refrigerator, which the Boynton one never did.
Both have stickers and a pocket. I think both are good, and I do like the artwork on this one much better, but just find the Mom's Plan-it format easier to use.
If you're going to buy this one, make sure you look at the additional images so you understand how the vertical format looks. And if you've had one of these in the past and find the vertical format frustrating, take a look at the Mom's Plan-it to see if it would work better for you. It did for our family. Customer Rating: Summary: love it Comment: fantastic. I have used this style calendar for 5 years now. I love this calendar. I can find everything I want at a glance and I love the fun characters and stickers. My kids try to see how many stickers they can get on their day. It works great for them as well, they just look on their name and see their own box...no confusion Customer Rating: Summary: A wonderful product you'll use year after year Comment: Anyone who isn't tethered to a blackberry will wonder how they ever got along without this spreadsheet calendar. It comes with dozens (more than you'll ever need) of event reminder stickers from "no school today" to "Birthday" and everything in between. The layout is so simple that at a glance you'll know the plans of the entire family.
It's not just for Moms. Dads love it too! I wish every calendar had a layout like this one. Customer Rating: Summary: Mom's Family Calendar 2009 Comment: I LOVE THIS CALENDER!!! Plenty of space for notes, as well as each family member having their own column! HUGE HELP in keeping a busy family organized!
