Summary: Chanting drives me nuts
Comment: I've learned a lot from Wayne Dyer's books and thought this cd would be useful. The meditation ideas are good; the music is night, but his chanting drives me crazy! He can't stay on pitch and his breathing rhythm is waaaaaay slower than mine so it was impossible for me to follow along with him. Having listened to the cd, I can do it for myself, and I have to admit I did have a good meditational experience even if his chanting was annoying.

Summary: Made Me Lose Confidence in PBS
Comment: I bought this a while back after seeing a presentation by Wayne Dyer as part of a pledge program on PBS. After listening to the CD, I realized that the fact that something is on public television is no guarantee that the subject matter is well-researched or scientifically valid. I gave up after Dyer started a meditation exercise citing various words for God in various languages observing that they sounded alike -- they sounded nothing alike.

The only heart's desire created in me by this product was to stop listening to this nonsense forthwith.

I also realized that those PBS programs with therapists and doctors should be treated with the same skepticism I reserve for infomercials.

Summary: Satisfied with Meditations for Manifesting
Comment: I am very satisfied with the Meditations for Manifesting CD. I listen to this Wayne Dyer CD and his other CD, "Getting in the Gap" everyday. It calms me before I leave for work, and helps me to unwind after I return. Oh, and I "manifested" a shorter and easier commute!
