Editorial Review:
A fast-paced thriller and the grand finale of the gripping bestselling series featuring Admiral Arnold Morgan.
When a terrorist bomb explodes in Boston's Logan Airport, Admiral Arnold Morgan, the President's most trusted advisor, moves quickly to break the cell in the United States and ship the Islamic fanatics to Guantanamo Bay.
In response, the Hamas high command, meeting in a terrorist cell in Gaza, hatches a vicious plan to assassinate the Admiral the minute he leaves the United States. Morgan's old nemesis, Ravi Rashood, leads this international attack and attempt to eliminate him. The exhilarating chase swirls through southern Ireland, London, and Scotland.
Desperate to protect the Admiral at all costs, the President must summon the most dangerous Navy Seal team that the USA has to offer. This gripping and provocative thriller displays both Robinson and his hero Morgan at their peak.

Customer Rating: Summary: Very Engaging! **** 1/2 Comment: Perhaps it helps not to have read any of Patrick Robinson's previous novels, as some on here seem to be comparing this book to earlier ones in the series in an unfavorable manner. I liked this novel and I liked it a lot and I will probably pick up some of the earlier efforts in due time, but notwithstanding that I found this to be right in the genre of Vince Flynn and others and a very good stand alone read.
The characters of the Hamas asassins, General Ravi Rashood and his wife Shakira are well drawn and I found them very believable both as to their motivation and their conduct. Shakira's part of the book as she traveled to the United States and then to Ireland and England were very well written.
Admiral Morgan has been developed in other books, apparently, but enough is disclosed of his character to assist the reader in understanding his attitude, intellect and temperment.
There simply is a lot about this story and the way it is told to hold the reader and make this a page turner and I recommend it to any who are fans of this type of modern day thriller. Customer Rating: Summary: A good ending to a series. Comment: This book concludes a fairly long running series of books. I was somewhat disappointed that Mr. Robinson strayed from what he is great at: submarines. But that said this was a good book. The criticism about political commentary is overblown, there just is not that much in this book. The book moves along fairly well. The only real criticism I have is in the middle of the book when we know that the Israeli commandos will fail since there are a couple hundred pages to go, but most authors do that.
All in all more a political thriller, not his usual sub thriller but still worth a read. It would be worthwhile to read the books that begin the series to really see the background of the antagonists. Customer Rating: Summary: Misunderstood phrases Comment: I was completely baffled after having read this book about how its purported on the inside cover that the President calls on this "SEAL TEAM" to cover Admiral Morgan. I am still waiting for a Team to show as Commander Rick Hunter, albeit an imposing and larger-than-life character: does no constitute a full Seal Team. When does the Team show up in the book, as I never saw it. Customer Rating: Summary: This is a really sad closing chapter for the Patrick works Comment: When I first pick up a PR book, USS Sea Wolf, from an airport departure hall, I was captivated with his writting and that book kept me occupied on my outstation trip.
When I returned, I ordered the remaining of his books and finished all of them one after another.
I had been checking for this book print date and when it was available in Amazon, I order 1 immediate.
This closing chapter between the Admiral + General + NSA is such a flop.
PR strength in war plots in his previous writting were so good that it make this ending chapters such a drastic failure.
Starting from Airport + Prison + some remote Middle East hideout + a travelling around USA + UK + Ireland was so boring.
Did I even mentioned how "LUCKY" the general was to escape death while the HAMAS commander is so damn unprofessional.
The sending in of the a ex-SEAL commander in my opinion is just merely trying to add that few pages of text to an already weak story-line.
The ending where such the HAMAS commander was killed is really a joke seeing how careful he had been in the past series.
And I do not see any reason why the HAMAS commander has to resort to knife and gun to take out his arch enemy where in the past he has been using missile, explosives and whats-not.
This is a really sad closing chapter for the PR works. Customer Rating: Summary: While not a climax... Comment: I read someone using the word "climax" in describing this book. I too would have been disappointed if that were my expectation.
I bought this one because I enjoyed all the others and I happilly gobbled up every word.
For the next one, Mr. Robinson, I want more submarine time. OK? Ships, too. Oh, and another femme fatal....
