Customer Rating: Summary: We need this on DVD! Comment: Why hasnt this great movie been released on DVD? It is a great document of the 70s Detroit wrestling scene. I use to go to the matches as a kid Customer Rating: Summary: The B movie of wrestling but its great !!! Comment: I am glad I found this on amazon and that people had already wrote responses. Obivously these comments were written by true wrestling fans. If wrestling made movies this no doubt would be a B movie classic like Plan 9 From Out Of Space. The music is classic you have to actually listen to the lyrics of the title track I Like To Hurt People its great.
They have a wide variety of old school superstars. Andre, The Shiek and The Grand Wizard his manager, Bobo Brazil and so many more. Then there were guys I never heard of. What ever happened to the Captain ?
There are nothing but complements from me in regards to this movie so if you havent seen it you are really missing out. If you have seen it you know what I mean. Find that friend who has never seen this movie and make them watch it.
They will love it
Customer Rating: Summary: great soundtrack Comment: a great flick. my dad did the soundtrack, and its amazing. worth picking up, for the interviews and the soundtrack. Customer Rating: Summary: Great Detroit Mat Stars Comment: Anyone remember the C.G. London wrestling magazines with all the bloody faces? Anyone who remembers that era of the mat sport will love this video, with great footage of The Sheik, a terrible yet terrifying wrestler with an incredible bloodlust like none ever displayed in a ring--it's amazing what he got away with in those days in terms of sheer violence with tearing his foes apart, literally. Also: young Abby the Butcher and Dusty Rhodes; midgets; and great interviews by Abdullah Farouk and the vastly underrated Eddie Creachman. Only drawback: The worst music soundtrack in the history of recorded film or tape. The song "I Like To Hurt People" seems to have been sung by a lead vocalist who sounds suspiciously like "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff. Listen and see if you don't agree! Customer Rating: Summary: Stop the Sheik Movement is back again Comment: As faithful believers in the Stop the Sheik movement, we are all united in the belief that this may be the best video ever made. A Dallas newspaper listed it in the top seventy sports videos ever made. We rate it number one, coincidentally. This movie chronicles professional wrestling in its glory days and one man, Lou Firpin's, struggles to purify wrestling and rid it from excessive violence and bleeding. A truly inspirational character, watch all about Lou's trials and triumphs as he struggles to take down the noble Sheik. With a cast like Bobo Brazil, the Funks, Dusty Rhodes, Ox Baker, Eddie Creachman, Andre the Giant, Heather Feather, and so many others, this video is something you cannot afford to miss on any account.
