Summary: Something doesn't feel quite right...
Comment: Last night, I actually bought the latest issue of Relevant at a local book/music store. I really want to like this magazine, but my mom always told me to listen to that voice inside and something doesn't quite feel right here. Don't get me wrong, it's refreshing to have a slick, modern, "Christian" magazine with some good articles, but I keep feeling like I am reading the "Christian" version of Slate magazine. I get the feeling that the theme is "there is good(God) in everyone, and that's enough," and frankly that's a scary theme. There is a definite social/progressive theme that seems almost political... without coming out and admitting it?

I think its a great question to ask, "What Would Jesus Do?" But I feel like Relevant magazine is telling me What Jesus Would Do with a nod and wink, and a "trust us!" I'm not so sure I do...

Summary: Funtastic Magazine
Comment: In an age where most people have gotten rid of their magazine subscriptions in favor of the online version, for this magazine, this magazine is just too chock full of great articles on current/up & coming music & movies, social justice issues & just overall great design. They don't take themselves too seriously and I find every time it lands in my mailbox I can't wait to dive in and see what the talented Relevant crew has come up with this time!

Summary: Absolutely Relevant
Comment: This is the magazine I have been waiting to read my entire life. I feel so uplifted and encouraged whenever I finish reading Relevant. The magazine addresses really deep and controversial topics with Grace and diversity. You will find articles written from Conservative, Moderate and Progressive Christian perspectives.

I also love the profiles of Missionaries and Human Aid workers who are making a difference in the world. I always learn something new about global issues and how I can help make a difference. The magazine always challenges me to ask myself what exactly I am doing to show Jesus to other people.

I think that the best thing I can say about Relevant Magazine is that it inspires me to love -- and it makes me feel good about being a part of the Body of Christ.

Summary: One of the best magazines ever
Comment: A friend of mine told me about this magazine about three years ago and I've been an subscriber ever since. I've even bought subscriptions for others a few times as gifts. This magazine has great content and articles by taking an very thought-provoking and "real" approach to a number of cultural and spiritual issues. I would highly recommend this to the 20-35 age group, either Christians or just anyone interested in a Christian perspective to cultural issues. One of my favorite things about this mag other than the content is that it's not packed full of ads to sift through. There seem to be far fewer ads than other magazines I read, and the ads they do have are well done and actually interesting to me.

I would also HIGHLY recommend the weekly Relevant podcast, available for free through iTunes.
