Customer Rating: Summary: Use a Kitchen Garbage Bag Comment: I have the DM17CS and I use a standard plastic kitchen garbage bag. I streach the top of the bag around the interior rim of the unit and there is nothing haning outside the shredder. Customer Rating: Summary: It Does The Job, But Pricey Comment: Hard to review essentially trash bags. These bags are not particularly cheap but it does the job. I tried using ordinary trash bags but the shredder kept indicating that the door was not closed. These shredder bags are really thin and I don't have that problem. Although the bags are thin they are pretty strong. I have yet to puncture one of them. I could go without using bags at all, but the bags are more convenient and are not as messy as dumping the basket contents into another bag. Fortunately I do not have to empty the bags often. I am still looking for a more inexpensive alternative. Customer Rating: Summary: Good, But Overpriced Comment: We use these plastic bags with the Fellowes Powershred PS-77Cs shredder. Using some of type of bag with this shredder is a virtual necessity. Without a bag, a complete mess occurs in the process of emptying the bin. These bags do a suitable job of collecting the shredded paper.
The bags fit comfortably in the shredder, although the top hangs over the front of the bin and is visible. They do seem to be overpriced, considering that they are made of flimsy plastic. I imagine someone could fabricate a suitable substitute bag for less money. But since the cost is 25 cents per bag and a bag lasts us for several weeks, it really does not seem to be worth the time and effort to find a substitute.
Customer Rating: Summary: I think I'll try tall kitchen bags... Comment: Fits the bin of my Fellowes shredder nicely so minimizes loose chads, but way too expensive for 100 plastic bags. these should definitely be made only from recycled plastics, I think. Customer Rating: Summary: I like this bag it didn't sag! Comment: I like this bag it is no rag, it did not sag. Not to brag I know a good bag and this I'll buy again.
