Comment: I'm not sure why the pump doesn't ship with extra membranes given their small size, but my wife was glad to find these online with fast shipping to get them in time for our long road trip. She said it saved her a lot of pain...I'll take her word for it.

Comment: I used the Medela Pump with my first child for about 5 months. The membranes were starting to get cracks and it was difficult to take/pull them off because I was afraid that they would come off in pieces. I was relieved to find that it was so easy to order replacements. The replacements arrived promptly, although I wish the shipping was less expensive. As it is, I paid more in shipping than for the membranes. The package contained 6 membranes, so those will last us a while.
