Editorial Review:
Nas is incredibly talented, but he can't really justify the heft of a double album any more than Jay-Z or Wu-Tang could. Still, most of Street's Disciple is as impressive as anything he's done in the previous few years. He's still hip-hop's most compelling and sophisticated lyricist (sorry Eminem, Jigga), and more than a few tracks here burn with his verbal heat–-a flood of phrases and metaphors that inspire imagery as rich as in any movie. Unfortunately, Street's Disciple is twice as long as it needs to be, especially with insipid fare like "The Makings of a Perfect Bitch" or tired club cuts like "No One Else in the Room." You wish Nas had forced himself to cut a single album because half of this double-CD set is truly hot. --Oliver Wang

Summary: One of my favorite CD's
Comment: I love this CD. I've read a few people commenting on the song Sekou and the female rapper on the track. That female rapper is none other than Nas, his voice is just altered.

Summary: nas is the best
Comment: nas is the best after biggie. There are people like tupac, jay-z, the lox, and other great rappers but none of them are better. If anything they would be tied with him but other than that the only person better than him was biggie cuz biggie is the best forever

Summary: What happened?
Comment: Frankly Nas didn't put his best foot forword with this one although its good its not great or spectacular like his previous efforts...and the Unauthorized Biography Of Rakim is a sad dedication to a hip-hop/rap God... its beat is enough to make you slam your head into a wall and the flow sounds peiced together...now Remember the Times is a good flow reminds me of older Nas... Me & You is a great song the dedication to his daughter...and Makings of the Perfect B*tch is a great tune also but all in all Nas could have did a lot better, Frankly he shoulda put some of the songs from Lost Tapes on Streets...because this album lacks greatly...a Nas fan can apprciate the few good tracks but for a person getting into Nas this isn't the album to do so...Illmatic would be a good bet for that...

Comment: I can't get enough of this CD! As well as my significant other!

Summary: Great Throwback Joints...But loses steam when tries to kick knowledge
Comment: Mad props to Nas for doing a song with his father, and making it a hit. Even the hardest thug would love to share a moment like that with their Pops. Lyrically, Nas delivers another hot one but falls off topic wise when delving into the Kobe-Shaq beef, Kobe's trial, dissing Taye Diggs and expessing his religious philosophies. This could have been a classic if it were a lot more focused.

The Joints:
War (Old school 70's feel)
Disciple
Sekou Story (Feels like 1990 New York HipHop)
Live Now
Just A Moment
You Know My Style
Suicide Bounce
Streets Disciple (Hard, old school 90's feel and featuring his Dad)
U.B.R. (Unauthorized Biography Of Rakim)
Thief's Theme (Hard)
Bridging the Gap (Classic)
