Summary: Lifesaver
Comment: I just want to say that I give thanks for this product. I tried HRT and didn't like the side effects. But, as soon as I got off HRT, the hot flashes came back. I was suffering about 5 or 6 hot flashes an hour, night and day. After my doctor's recommendation and reading numerous reviews, I thought, why not? The instructions say that relief can take anywhere from 4-12 weeks. My relief finally came, but I had to stick with it for almost six weeks. That's unheard of for me. I usually give up on something and move on to something else. But, I stuck it out and the payoff has been well worthwhile. I am now completely hot flash free!! All I can say is try Remifemin. Stick with it. It will work.

Comment: I have been in my perimenopuse since I was 40 and when I heard about this product about 5 years ago I decided to use it and still using it since.It works wonderfull with the hotflashes and the insomnia.The best thing is that is natural and after all this years I haven't had any secondary effects.I recommend it a 100%.

Summary: Disappointment
Comment: I tried this product for 4 months. For the first two months I took it as directed (one tablet in the morning, one tablet at night.) I had NO reduction in hot flashes. Then I took double the dosage. Again, absolutely no reduction in my hot flashes. I even kept notes on the number of my hot flashes. I'm very disappointed in this product. I have done some research and found that the latest studies reveal that using a placebo (sugar pill) and using this product help women equally well...meaning, of course, that the placebo effect is what is helping women, not the black cohosh supplement. What a waste of money and my time! I had really wanted this product to help me.

Summary: Hot Flash Rescue
Comment: This product is a Godsend! My doctor suggested I try Remifemin as many of her patients have used it successfully to reduce the severity of hot flashes. Within a week I was able to sleep through the night without waking up to throw off the covers several times. Within two weeks my hot flashes were gone.

Due to questions about the effects of long-term use, my doctor recommended taking this product for only 6 months. I stopped taking it for 3 months and experienced a gradual return of my hot flashes. By the third month they were at full strength again. I started taking Remifemin again and experienced the same quick results. This product may not work for everyone but it has worked for me. I will be talking with my doctor about continued use.

Summary: My doctor insisted on this brand and was right!
Comment: I've been battling the heat blitzes for many months. My doctor told me to get Remifemin, specifically. I had more faith in the New Chapter products and so spent a long time with only partial relief on their black cohosh blend. I also tried some other black cohosh products, with some relief but still a miserable, relentless level of flashes.

Finally a month ago I ordered the Remifemin and within a few days was nearly free of flashes! Yay! I'm quite impressed with the difference between this and the several other black cohosh products I've tried.

I guess my doctor knows what he's talking about.
