Low glare lighting for garden landscaping or to outline a walk or steps, the Malibu LX58720P low voltage lighting kit is a great DIY project. The kit includes 14 tier lights and 6 Zoom Floodlights, which can be changed to spot lights with a turn of the wrist. The fixtures can be arranged in any pattern along the 100 feet of cable included with the kit. Each 12-volt 4-watt fixture is attached to the cable with a quick clamp system, which also allows for additional fixtures to be added as needed. Summary: Good product, good price, one minor "gotcha"...
Comment: These lights work great and are a great price. However, with this many lights, it really should come with a higher voltage power pack and more cable. To keep the lights spread out at a decent distance from each other, I wound up adding an additional 100 feet of cable. After adding that, they were too dim. So I had to purchase a second power pack and split the load up. Of course, I was using them as a lawn perimeter. I suppose if you were placing them as just pathway lights, having each light only a few feet apart would work. I've just never been fond of the lights placed that close together.

Summary: Fantastic deal!
Comment: After reading the reviews I wasn't sure if I should order this light set. However, the price is fantastic and I have heard good things about Malibu from other websites so I gave it a try. The lights arrived yesterday in a very nice box. I was happy to find the parts all organized and packed with care. I set up an assembly line on my patio and put all of the tier lights and flood lights together within an hour. The directions could use some help but to be honest, I just used the picture to assemble everything. I set out my lights, clamped them to the wire, buried the wire and pushed the lights into the ground. Easy stuff and they look very nice. I replaced some of the really old Malibu metal tier lights that came with the house and I like the plastic better. I'm 100% happy with this set and I'm thinking about getting another for adding lights to the front of my house. What a great deal!

Comment: Unlike other reviewers, I found the product to be simple to assemble and easy to install. I have had a similar set of lights that has ringed my deck for nearly ten years. The lights are on at dusk and off at dawn - 365 days a year. I have had to replace one or two bulbs of the whole lot in that length of time. The package had everything that I needed to install the lights, nothing missing, nothing broken. While they are not high end stuff, they work well and hold up to hot summers and icy-cold winters - and have for years.
