Customer Reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: Very good, but have had a problem Comment: My daughter has been using this for a few days now. She likes the duck and likes to sit on it. However, half the time she somehow pees over the shield! Maybe she isn't sitting on it correctly. Not sure. Customer Rating: Summary: Best potty seat ever Comment: My daughter is 3 loves the potty seat. It fits well to the toliet. She is able to take the seat off herself. No urine under the potty seat onto the regular seat. Worth the money. Customer Rating: Summary: nice details Comment: The shape and contours position a child much better than those cushioned ones from Target with the handles on the side. It sits on the seat such that the duck feet are on the seat and not sticking out, so they don't hang their legs over the pointy duck feet. The yellow part is rubbery, so it doesn't slide around. It comes with pins to stick into holes underneath to fit it to your toilet seat so it won't move but we haven't needed to use them. The part of the seat their bottoms contact is textured so that they won't stick to the plastic. The hole also seems slightly smaller than standard cheaper toilet seat reducers, though I haven't actually measured to compare.
The back of the duck's head may knock into sensitive parts if the child is still quite short (even with a stool) or if you don't life them up high enough. No sliding forward to get off the seat! But it's not REALLY high and generally not a problem for us and gives them somewhere to put their hands.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not sure this is the best approach Comment: This product sits on your toilet seat instead of being a self contained potty chair. I'm still not sure if this approach is the best. Potty chairs are lower to the ground and may be easier for the child to accept. My twin boys seem a bit apprehensive, almost scared, when on this toilet seat reducer. It's been a slow go training them and I think most of it is just the fear of them being so high up and wanting to hold on to me or my wife while they try to go. Customer Rating: Summary: Not good for a boy. Comment: I have an almost 2 year old who is potty training. I purchased this seat because I thought the ducky would be entertaining for him and would make him want to use the pot. The only problem is that it does not have a shield to keep the pee-pee in for a little boy.
I think the seat would be great for the little girls out there!
