Comment: if you are buying Ticket to Ride for the first time, get this too, cards are bigger, better, and this adds a new dimension to the game. If you don't get it right away, you may find that it is sold out and you have to wait.....

Comment: We have played Ticket to Ride for awhile. The core game is really fun. I have always enjoyed trying to build the longest railroad line. The addition of this expansion pack really changes the game play and gives you a whole new game. If you have Ticket to Ride and love the game get this expansion pack it is great fun.

Comment: I lost finally...to a group of people I play weekly game to.

I like the feeling of losing, you know, winning all the time makes a game no fun anymore. I now know why some players only play certain games with people at their level.

This game is classic. I really forgot how the original is played since every time I play, I play the 1910 Expansion. Perhaps there is no as much fighting for the routes and more harmony in the game. But where is the fun if there is not much competition.

Summary: Get this!
Comment: If you have Ticket to Ride, you really need to get this expansion. Outside of the additional cards to add more routes, the main draw here is the full-sized deck. So much easier to handle and shuffle (and in the case of older players, see) than the original game's deck.

You also get some additional destinations and game modes tied to those destinations. The Mystery Train cards are largely useless (they're for short distances and award minimal points)...nice to have but nothing special. The Big Cities cards add routes tied to certain big cities (like Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, etc.).

You don't get extra pieces or any significant change in game play but this expansion helps. Realistically, it would have been better if they just incorporated this expansion into the main game and get it over with but I guess someone's got to make money somehow.
