Both elegant and highly functional, this black lacquered wood Indoor Garden Plant Light makes it easy to grow gorgeous orchids, flowers, herbs, and other light loving plants indoors. Filled with flora, it makes a striking addition to any room. Two specially engineered, plan spectrum compact fluorescent tubes bathe your plants in just the right spectrum light for growing and flowering. As plants grow, you can adjust the height in increments between 16 and 23. The high quality ballast wont flicker or buzz. A built-in humidity tray, made from an injection-molded UV resistant polymer is topped with removable lacquered wood slats. Plants sit on the slats and excess water collects in the tray below. As the water evaporates, it provides humidity that helps indoor plants stay healthy. Our innovative drainage system (patent application pending) lets you remove excess water by pulling on the brass knob and extending a 12 reinforced hose that quickly drains the tray.

Summary: I wish I could say I was impressed with this unit....
Comment: I recently received this unit and was disappointed at the quality of the finish, materials, power cord and switch. The instructions were terrible and it wasn't easy to assemble using the instructions. I received two sets of bad photocopies that didn't agree with each other.

What I liked about the unit was the humidity tray and quality of light. I understand that this type of lighting can be expensive. However, I think the quality of the overall unit is important too and although I think this is OK, I don't think it's great for the price.
