Editorial Review:
Ichigo and Rukia continue their work as Soul Reapers, protecting the spirits and the living. But they are not the only ones with the power to defeat the evil Hollows. A rival called a Quincy appears with fearsome powers of his own--and a grudge against all Soul Reapers. When he issues a Hollow-battling challenge to Ichigo, it could spell the destruction of the world of the living! Director Noriyuke Abe ably juggles battles, emotional scenes, and slapstick as the popular comedy-adventure Bleach continues. In a rare, gentle moment, Ichigo's father tells him he shouldn't blame himself for his mother's death, but should honor her memory by living in ways that would make her proud. Although his father's advice buoys his spirits, Ichigo vows to avenge his mother by slaying the Grand Fisher, the powerful Hollow that killed her. Ichigo and Rukia face a more immediate challenge at school. Uryu Ishida, the top student in their class, is a "Quincy:" a descendant of a clan of Hollow-hunters who despise their rival Soul Reapers. The icy Uryu challenges Ichigo to see who can kill more Hollows, and releases a potion that attracts the hideous creatures. When a Hollow threatens Ichigo's sister Karin, his muscular friend Chad unleashes his latent monster-fighting powers to save her. It's everything Bleach fans love and expect. (Rated "Teen," suitable for ages 13 and older: violence, grotesque imagery) --Charles Solomon

Customer Rating: Summary: Maintaining Momentum Comment: Bleach continues to be an incredibly strong series. With solid action, mostly clever writing and dialogue to go along with characters that continually show why they are earning their fan base. If you haven't picked up this series yet, it's more than worth checking out.
Customer Rating: Summary: For those of you that don't want to spend a fortune on this series!!!! Comment: You may just want to wait to purchase the box sets. This series has 139 episodes and is still going in what is called the Hueco Mundo arc, and if you think Ichigo is a bada** right now, you haven't seen jack! Every time I talk about this series, I just shake with excitement because it's so good. Definitely will be worth the investment!!!!! Customer Rating: Summary: Bleach Comment: Bleach is the best anime/manga series I've come across in a very long time. The characters are well developed and lovable. The story has a real plot and keeps moving forward while other anime series simply fall apart in the middle leaving you feeling cheated but Bleach keeps you coming back for more. While I can't wait to see how this story ends I must admit that I will also be very sad to see it go. I've grown attached to this funny, charaming, exciting group of characters. Customer Rating: Summary: awesome show! Comment: this is one of my favorite shows in long while. (I cheated and watched all of the japanese episodes so i want to tell you that it only gets better, as hard as that is to believe this show could get any better!) this is definatly worth every penny you spend on it! Customer Rating: Summary: Keeps getting better Comment: I'm not the type of reviewer to just hand out 5 stars like candy. But Bleach is a series I'm just starting to love. Vol.3 is every bit as good as the last 2. There's a lot more action, comedy, and a deeper story is begining to develop. You also see there's actually a more serious side to Ichigo's father, he's not exactly a raving moron like he first appeared.
This volume also introduces a different type of Hollow hunter called the Quincies. The story behind them is pretty good and a lot of the other characters are being more developed and you actually start to care about them. This vol. is the same as others 4 episodes and a couple of extras. If your new to Bleach and must check it out. Then I highly advise you to pick up the first 2 vols. The best advice would be to just wait for the collection to come out because thats going to be alot cheaper. Bleach is a very long and addictive series. Dont be surprised if you purchase the first dvd then feel the need to purchase the rest as they comeout.
