I am not an extreme audiophile but I do require good sound out of my headphones. These are a huge upgrade from the previous Sony MDR EX51LP's that I had which cost the same amount. I should have done this a long time ago. I picked these over the 100's because they look a little cleaner. Otherwise, I'm sure the 100's and 200's are great as well.
