Summary: Finally! Good rechargeable batteries.
Comment: For many years, rechargeable batteries (AAA, AA, C, D) have been very disappointing because they "self-discharge" in a week or two while waiting to be used (or sitting on a store shelf). That's why you must always charge new batteries before using them.

These new Sony batteries finally solve the problem. They self-discharge very slowly, keeping 90% of their charge after a year of storage. I have been using several AAA and AA Sony rechargeable batteries for a month now, and am very pleased and impressed. I only wish that C and D cells were available.
