I recently had a dream in which a child swallowed a large piece of green pepper and her twin sister began to choke. When I used the Heimlich maneuver on the choking twin, she spit up the piece of pepper. The first child then began to swallow a large broccoli stem and, as I rushed to stop her, I woke up. I have no idea what my dream meant, if anything. But it did give me the inspiration for'The Other' and for that I am grateful. I hope you will agree that it was a worthwhile dream, although perhaps nightmare is a more correct description. No butterflies were eaten, in any quantity during the writing of this story.
