Comment: We also thought that these would be high quality shoes based on the name of stride rite. I have a very hard time finding wide shoes in my small town. It's nearly impossible to find something stylish. So, I come often to Amazon and check out the stride rite sales. I've been mostly happy with my stride rite purchases, but this one is not the same quality. As my daughter was putting them on to go to her First Reconciliation I noticed that there was a scuff on the toes of her shoes. I was going to take them to polish them, when I noticed that they were NOT scuffed......the leather was PEELING OFF. I was NOT happy! These are not good shoes.

Comment: We ordered these from Amazon believing that they were made of patent leather. They are not leather. The front of the shoe rubbed off nearly immediately. Not what we've come to expect from Stride Rite.
