Customer Rating: Summary: A few good points hidden in a conspiracy 101 guise Comment: To Kevin Trudeau, the world is simple: Controlled by multi-national corporations, food and drug conglomerates, and the government and its agencies are there to serve them. Because drugs sell for a profit and herbs are cheap, Kevin says, drug companies are in a constant battle of cover-up and discrediting alternative medicine, and, he suggests, working covertly with government and food industry to make us all unhealthy and keep us, through the public school system, dumb and acquiescing.
He spends way too much time, ad nauseum, saying that we need to read his last book to really understand what is going on, just as he over-labors the point of his well-publicized disagreements with the FTC.
The point worth taking from the book, even if it is rather self-evident, is to always be sceptical, including of authorities such as the medical sector, but Mr Trudeau, in his eagerness to inform us to never trust anyone with anything to sell, including the drug industry, seems to forget just where he is sitting himself. In an almost funny passage in the book, he says, "Here is the conclusion I have come to: I will not sell any products anywhere in the world." (p. 41). In the following pages, he goes on to say that he intends to do just that, in the shape of books (of which he lists perhaps 15 titles in the works; newsletters; a radio show; the natural cure website). If one were to take Mr Trudeau's institutional analysis as absolutist as proposed, that all industry is bad because there is a profit motive, and by extension that all politicians are bad as they are lobbied by interest groups, then it ought to follow that one should not believe Mr Trudeau as he makes a dime, I should imagine, writing his books and otherwise disseminating his insights.
At points, he reminds me of Noam Chomsky; certainly there are similarities in the institutional analysis, but Chomsky always shows his math to prove his point, whereas with Trudeau, we are at the end of the day, still wondering. This is a shame, as his style obscures a good point--buyer, in any shape and form, beware. Perhaps as appropriately applied to this book as the subject it purports to cover--health. Customer Rating: Summary: Trudeau Rips Us Off Again Comment: Kevin Trudeau is up to his old tricks again. All his previous books failed to deliver on his promise to reveal natural cures. This one will be no different. Don't buy his books.
JRM Customer Rating: Summary: More Natural Cures Revealed: Previously Censored...by Kevin Trudeau Comment: Not only do we have politics in Washington, there are underground politics that we are not even aware of. In this book and its' parent book, Kevin Trudeau established the connections between government agencies and pharmaceutical companies and drug manufacturers. He then established the connections between drug/pharma companies and medical schools.
When we understand just how powerful the drug/pharma companies are--what big businesses they truly are--we start to understand why our doctors prescribe so many medicines.
While Kevin Trudeau may be regarded as "out there" by conventional medicine, those of us on the alternative side love his messages about taking responsibility for our own health.
"More Natural Cures Revealed: Previously Censored Brand Name Products That Cure Disease" is loaded with connections between illness and diet, illness and food (chemical) additives, and what we can do to become well.
He explains why scientific studies are flawed. Who actually sponsors these studies? Who decides which will be released to the public? These are the same studies that are presented to us as "truth."
Kevin tells us which prescription products actually cause more disease than they can cure. He tells us what our options are if we prefer to remain or become healthy.
He also lets us know how and why treatment of our food, i.e. irradiation, is detrimental to our health.
Chapters 13-16 are packed with resources, contacts and alternative therapies and products that will give us radiant health.
Want to get well? Get this book. And read it. Customer Rating: Summary: Why don't we read the ingredients? Comment: So, what? Trudeau's trying to make money. Who isn't??? Seriously, have you ever seen a commercial or advertisement for a natural non-toxic herbal remedy? Do you pinch at least two loafs a day?
I don't understand why someone who recommends fasting & cleansing to elimate toxins, home-cooked organic foods, and walking may help PREVENT (which Trudeau explains is his "cure") disease is a dishonest scam-artist, but a gigantic for-profit company that sells you FOOD that contains high fructose corn syrup, alpha tocopherol acetate, and pyroxidoxine hydrochloride (ingredients in Special-K cereal) should be trusted. Then you run to those SAME companies to buy the drugs for your diabetes, fibromyalgia, and acid reflux disease though the side affects may be liver cancer, stroke, OR death? Wow, how sad!
Well, I guess when we say "God bless America" we should ask him to SUPERSIZE it. Customer Rating: Summary: ANOTHER Waste of Money! Comment: Don't waste your money on this book! The whole thing can be summed up in one word - - Google.
