Summary: How Do You Take Your Cashew Juice?
Comment: I actually got the Cashew Juice to try as part of the Amazon "Vine" program.

While I normally would not buy something like this item, it was something that for free, to try a sample of it, made me curious... And for those wondering, yes this *does not* come from the "Nut", but instead from the "Fruit" part of the Cashew.

It doesn't taste bad, but it isn't anything real special by itself either. It has a slight, light taste with a hint of the cashew nut flavor mixed in with what you can only really describe as a "tropical-type" fruit. It is kind of like pineapple juice without such strong "pineapple" flavors, it also kinda tasted like a basic apple juice or white grape or pear (maybe even peach, but maybe not, heh) flavoring.

Light, delicate fruit with hint of nut...

I am not sure I would actually buy this for the "Juice" factor, as I think unless you had tons of money to spend on groceries and such, you would find any other normal juice from your regular store just as enjoyable.

I definitely could see myself using this (maybe mixed with some peach juice or other tropical juice) to make a nice mixed alcoholic drink (using rum seems the most yummy to me).

The other feature of the O.N.E. Cashew Juice, is the health aspect, as the container of it that I have states that it is "Rich in Vitamin C", as well as "Beta-carotene, Vitamin B1, B2 and B3", as well as "Calcium and Iron". "O.N.E. Cashew Juice is less acidic and provides 5 Times more Vitamin C than Orange Juice".

They also list a few other benefits of O.N.E. Cashew Juice: may help "calm an upset stomach", "sooth a sore throat", "protect the skin from problems like acne and eczema", and also "fortify the immune system".

I only had one sample container (11 oz.) to try so I could not test out those "benefits" as I am sure you would need to drink it while feeling certain symptoms for "relief" or on a regular basis to help prevent/ keep it away...

The drink (again 11 Fl oz. or 330 ml in size) has 1 Serving per container, with 140 Calories per serving, and 0 Calories from Fat. Vitamin C is listed as 148% of your daily value and Calcium = 5.1%, Vitamin A = 0.7%, and Iron = 2.6% DV Totals.

The product is 100% Natural with the only listed Ingredients being: Water, cashew fruit puree, organic sugar cane juice, citric acid.

Summary: something's weird about this...
Comment: I can't tell what's so weird about this, but I can tell I don't like it. It's like sweet mixed with a very odd bitter. I think it's a nutty flavor since its cashew juice, but it's almost coffee or peanut-butter like.

For the record, I like orange juice, I'm ok with coffee and don't mind peanut butter. Put them together though? That's sort of what this is. ew.

Summary: I'd much rather eat Cashew nuts than drink Cashew juice!
Comment: To be honest, the thought of Cashew Juice does not at all sound delicious or thirst-quenching. So opening the drink does wonders, smelling is not to appetizing.

At first, the taste is very prune-juice like, very watered down and simple, without the soda-sticky sugar or carbonation. Reminds me very much of medicine, though it's not thick like cough syrup but more like a mixed-herbal tea flavor.

Apparently, Cashew Juice acts like a medicine too, claiming to "calm an upset stomach, soothe a sore throat, protect the skin from problems like acne and eczema, and fortify the immune system." Wow, really? No wonder I don't particularly like it...sounds way too good to be true. Even has "five times more Vitamin C than orange juice." Can't beat that!

For those who like healthy drinks, not for the taste but for the benefits of vitamins and other nutrients. I'd much rather just eat the cashew nuts than drink cashew juice!

Summary: OK, but not all that jazzy
Comment: After reading all of the glowing reviews, I was somewhat eager to taste what cashew juice would be like. Much to my surmise, it wasn't all that bad. But, it definitely was not worth all of the excess hype. It tasted somewhat like a very watered down version of carrot/pineapple/orange tropical fruit juice with a mild nutty aftertaste. Whoo whee. No magic or sparks. Now I can get on with my life. Not that bad of product, but nothing you can't afford to passup.

One thing I didn't like was that despite the depiction of a straw on the front of the carton, one did not come with my shipment. I don't know if got lost upon delivery or if one simply does not come with it at all. If the latter is the case, then I think it's a bit unfair to be that misleading. I know for sure that I did not like having to look for a glass to pour this into and the container is not all that easy and confortable to try drinking directly out of.

Furthermore, why in the heck did they decide to pack this as 11 ounces? It's nit picking, I know, but a wise observer would be able to tell that no matter what you do, you're either put in the bad situation of having too much for one individual's glass but still too little for two people to split it evenly and be left with enough. That is certainly frustrating when all you want to do is have juice.

If you decide to buy this, serve it thoroughly chilled and without ice. It tastes bad when it's warm and too watery when you add ice cubes. It'll also go well with a little hard alcohol mixed in it, preferably gin or rum.

Oh yeah, and it's made in Brazil, so if you've got a problem with imported products from that region (I don't, but I know some people who do), just a heads up.
